yeah, I know what you mean. At my company side we are an ISV
in the financial business sector. Java 1.4.2 is still our
normal playground _on the server side_,
but not on the desktop side.

Regarding tn5250j we are talking about a desktop program.
And IMHO there is no excuse, why not having Java 1.6 running
on your desktop.

I mean, I highly prefer to switch immediately to Java 1.6,
but going at least to 1.5 I can deal with ;-)

One thing/API method I would like to use is
 java.awt.Window.setIconImages(List<?>)
So you can add multiple Icons to your program. This will look
more nicely, cause are able to provide different
icon sizes (16x16, 32x32 ...).
Additionally the Exceptions does have constructors to inherit
Throwables and Messages.
OK, these are not killer arguments, but they ease my life
and I don't have to write workarounds or code which belongs in
a runtime library.
