In general, I find SableVM compilation to take lots and lots of memory.  I've
seen it use 400 MB for less than 30 seconds of work.  I tried to compile it on
my Gentoo laptop once and it died as well.  I know this isn't the right place,
but maybe we need a low(er)-memory build system available as well.
