Interesting idea, Paul.  How would this play with the main hibernate.xdt?  Right now, hibernate.xdt just merges hibernate-subclass.xdt and hibernate-joined-subclass.xdt, and that's where the iteration happens.  Well, I guess we could exclude classes with an explicit @hibernate.mapping from the iteration ; but then we would still need a second pass with the HibernateSubTask to catch the classes that were missed the first time around.   So we're basically back where we started.

Actually it sounds like you have a slightly different issue, where you want things on your generated tables (triggers) that are not supported by hibernate directly, regardless of xdoclet support.
