In order to support some of the newer tags for Hibernate 3, and to support various possible combinations of tags, the module now relies on a lot of template merges...which basically means that it's slower than before. If this is a real issue for you, then you really might want to consider moving to Xdoclet2 Hibernate module. This likely will run much faster for you.
