I ask this because, since we are forced to maintain our own unofficial
forks in order to accomplish any progress with Ibex, it's only a matter
of time until it gets to the point that somebody would rather be reliant
on themselves than on Adam's approval in order to officially get
something out to the community.

The current commit process is not a tenable situation unless:

1) Adam becomes more active and will respond to email within a at
   least a week

2) Adam stops committing ad hoc to the repo until his patches have been
   fully reviewed and tested

At the moment, weeks of unanswered queries and people being unsure of
where they stand with their contributions, followed by a few days of
patching which introduce a whole new set of problems, is just chaotic.

How can Ibex be successful if it's constantly in a state of chaos?
(Unless you're Dr Ian Malcom and can answer every question with a
metaphor involving chaos theory.)

I'm not bringing all this up because I'm upset.  I'm doing it because I
care intensely about Ibex, because I really like you guys [1], and
because I'm really want to see Ibex succeed.  We're close but we've got
to stop shooting ourselves in the feet.

[1] That really made me think of Sloth from the Goonies. "Hey you guys!"
