I am in lecture recess for the next week, so I have a flexible 
timetable. If everyone agrees, I'll put the time whenever you feel it 
is reasonable to freeze the mixdown tree.

Before I move a revised version into the cvs -- in fact even before I 
do all of the code adaption -- I'll post a snapshot of the file layout 
to make sure everyone's happy, and to collect any suggestions anyone 
can offer.
