Like me, for instance; I like to do dev and/or testing on multiple
platforms since it tends to shake out bugs sooner. So your mention of
the lack of a windows client is spot on. But my reply was more meant for
charlie who obviously hasn't tried tortoisecvs or he wouldn't have
mentioned wincvs.

As for the entire discussion about alternate SCMs (on users@, no less),
I still don't see why we'd need to move away from CVS, given the fact that
currently all commits require approval by Adam first, so things aren't
really all that concurrent in our case. While CVS has many flaws, it's
strong point is simplicity, and if you don't need the stronger features of
the others SCMs there's really little reason (IMO) to switch. Other than
maybe "it's the right thing to do, as a matter of principle". *shrug*.
