Totally agree. Unfortunately I really do worry about a fragmentation of
support -- #xwt is nice because it's realtime and lists.xwt.org is nice
because it's archived and in-depth. Forums have neither and I know that I
won't be spending any time there to provide help since they're such a
time-waste. Adam does the lists, I can't see him diving into forums
anytime soon...

I dunno -- forums are just the painted-whore version of mailing lists. IME,
anyone who tries to get any serious work done goes crazy trying to wade
through the sea of emoticons, animated avatars, crap colour schemes and
other goop that pollute the forum world.

Pardon? I can disregard threads FAR easier with lists than I can in any
forum! Do you not use a threading MUA?

I know, I know. I'm Taurus. Stubbron and bull-headed and set in my ways.
If there were a nice mailing list to forum gateway (and vice-versa) I
wouldn't be NEARLY as opposed to them. I've yet to find a good one though.

And yes, I do realize that just because I don't like something doesn't mean
it's bad. :-)
