While I wholeheartedly agree, the majority out there seems to like
forums, mainly because:
* they're usually pretty easy to navigate and search, and
* it's a bit more ignorable than mail if you don't want to bother for a
while.
The problem I would see for XWT is that the people that would provide
the help on the forums very actively dislike them, so for *us* I see
only negative benefits ('see, the forums is dead, so the project must be
too').

Regarding #xwt, I can't be logged in all the time, but I'd *luuurve* for
there to be an IM-ish #xwt thingy. Maybe a jabber server, maybe a
IRC-to-IM gateway. Anyone know of such a beast? If it can hop a proxy,
or work on CLI, so much better.
