Charlie helped me understand the level of objects inside 
templates/'included' files. [And other stuff that doesn't appear in any 
doc, and no working sample shows.]

Basically the 'tricks' (that makes sense) are:
1) to only load a tree with a few leafs or branches at a time. I now 
have a generic way to mark branches to be grafted AND even more helpful 
a way to know what leaf was clicked without having to trap each one 
(which in my example saves 506 traps alone). Summary: starts fast, looks 
nice, and I can have a common trap (but a couple bugs need dealt with in 
niwi.)
1b) I did notice that the 'real' problem with tree actually throws 
warnings when grafting. Depending on how much time I have before my demo 
I might go fix them now or not. (see item #4 below)
2) I am currently working out the last changes on my rework of using a 
cardpane. Basically I play the same kind of trick and start with it 
almost empty (except for the startup screen).
3) Note also that this has seemed to get rid of the random lockups on 
XWT startup. I am guessing the race condition is still there, but less 
likely given a simpler startup.
4) Other than mentioning some of the new bugs I find on #xwt, I am now 
making a list and keeping a reference to matching testcases. I did 
submit a few of the things I have found as bugs (which are marked 
resolved to be fix later...) Basically the thought was to not open 
Lithium bugs but fix the problems when doing niwi.
5) It is my personal opinion that we need to create better docs to get 
new users to get & stay on board.
6) One more personal opinion: Tabs should be accepted. It is a fact of 
life that different people/shops/etc. will use different width tabs. If 
the entire 'app' has to come down the wire AND be parsed, it will save 
time. I have noticed multiple times I mistakenly put a tab (for example 
to put a trailing comment, etc). I have noticed others have made the 
same comments. Again, as more users join, tabs will be another 'little' 
annoyance that is 'free' to fix before frustrating a new user.
-Spaces could be the 'suggested' norm, but tabs allowed.
7) Charlie and Rod have been a great help. I am not sure I could even 
have made it this far without them (or spending weeks+ digging the xwt 
code to figure out). Thanks guys.
