I did mean something similar to the XWT reference.  Something that
explains the widgets bit by bit.  Inline docs are quite good, but the
idea would be to have a document that is usable by a developer who wants
an overview of everything.

I do think you have a point.  Perhaps it would be better to produce a
design document that details the behaviour and goals of the widgets.
