I am such an SVG newb; forgive me if this question is dumb or misguided. I am a big fan of KDE4's very nice default icon set called Oxygen. The package includes an SVG file for each icon. I wish to load this SVG via Apache Batik library (in Java) and "render" an icon on the screen. It seems the ID "linearGradient5167" is not found the SVG file. I have attached one of the files as an example. (Format is GZip'd to reduce email size. You may need to gunzip to view the SVG XML.) I notice many other linearGradients are defined at the top, but 5167 is conspicuously missing. In the "actions" folder, I see quite a few SVG files will this same "undefined" linearGradient. It gets weirder: Both Firefox 22.0 (Linux) and KDE Konqueror 4.4.5 render this file without complaint. Again, forgive my naivete if "without complaint" bothers you, the reader. Obviously, the file may, in fact, be rubbish, and the interpreter in Firefox and Konq are ignore/overriding/compensatings/etc. What do you advise on this issue? Kindly,Kevin Connor ARPE Hongkong We did the icons with inksape and you shoud try to use it to render th icons... inkscape alows scripting with bash for automatic stuf... if you wnat to use svg for other things lik animations or webpages i wood advise against it as oxygen icons ar far from trivial things to render.. -------- [1] http://www.oxygen-icons.org/?page_id=3 ______________________________________________________________________________ [email protected] | https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-artists
