Maybe I'm ignorant but what problem do you want to solve with the appmenu 
(button)? Looking on the screenshots for the 'titlebar button' I'm afraid it 
will be used as replacement for the main menu. That would be terrible!
At the appmenu I expect functions concerning the window in general, redundant 
to the kwin task/windows bar ("Fensterleiste" in German). Not that important 
to me to draw special attention on it.
The titlebar button of Oxygen is a strong visual attractor with the affordance 
to get clicked. IMHO the button works much better on Windows because of the 
flat design. On the other hand: there seems to be a lot of users that like flat 
designs and could benefit from the changes you propose.
So it should be customizable at least, if implemented.
