But, if you said that people were welcome only if they kowtowed 
sufficiently you would be much closer to what I was thinking about.

Note: Zack started the flame war by deliberately misunderstanding what I 
said in order to attack me.  You have only taken a sentence out of context, 
but I still fail to see your point.

Yes, I was having a bad day.  I shouldn't have egged Zack on.  I do feel 
somewhat badly about it.  But some of what he said was so funny.

This all depends on what is meant by 'getting in the way'.  I have my ideas 
about what it means -- that it refers to things which I have done in 
discussing bugs that people didn't want to concern themselves with.

The problem does exist.  I gave it a factitious name rather than making 
personal remarks about anyone specific -- is that bad?

Too bad that you snipped out and didn't respond to my important points. 
But, it is a common rhetorical device -- to be picky about what the speaker 
said while totally ignoring his point.  Should I conclude that you don't 
wan to understand my point?
