It very well does, although it might not have a name or seperate binary. But
windows are being managed in Windows so there must be code that can be
identified as window manager.

No. We have more to gain from converting a few percentage of Windows users than to convert
100% of GNOME users. :-)

They use its window manager, but I've run Konq under twm actually. I'm being
overly pedantic here though. I know what the poll means to say, I just think
it's tecnhically incorrect.

Okay, the inclusion of those target platforms makes it a lot more accurate.
KDE is popular amongst these users, I fully agree, just not that "KDE is
popular in the Netherlands", which implies we're giving Microsoft the
chills. In my experience .nl is actually one of the countries where desktop
Linux has been adopted at much slower rates than anywhere else.

That's a good sign, for us. I'm glad that users of free software prefer KDE
in the Netherlands, but the subject tended to imply that people in the
Netherlands are switching to KDE in large numbers, and that's not true.

But hey, if we all keep doing our best, perhaps the future will make it
accurate, when half of the country DOES use KDE. :-)
