Yep, that was the error I got when rrconfiguring the smtp-server. 
mail.home.nl complaint that it could only handle mime or quoted printable, 
while i was sending it in 8-bit.

For some reason kmail changed my smtp-setting into a mailcommand for sendmail. 
No idea why kmail did this, but it could be because the smtp-server setting 
was 'mail'.
