-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi people ok kde-cafe... I might have the oportunity to provide the 'technical part' on a let's sell linux based server adventure. What I wanted to do is make more or less my own Distro but based in one major distro. What we'll do is focus our task, for example, web serving, mail serving and file serving. So, I would install a linux distro for those task thinking in easy of changing of the configuration and so on (I might develop my own configuration tools for that specific task and do everything web based for example). But going back to my main problem, I also want to provide a CD that people can put on the server and after a warning "ALL YOUR DATA WILL BE REMOVED" the CD will leave the computer exactly as when they bought it. Do you have any idea of how to achieve this, let's say, basing it on Debian ? I remember some people talking about something like this long time ago here on the mailing list, about a tool that created and installable distro out of the installed distro and put it on a CD (since I won't be expecting changes of sized in HD and so on, it would be very suitable for my task). Or do you know any documentation on this matter ? Thank you. - -- Pupeno: [email protected] http://www.pupeno.com -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.3 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE//P+etCepaMf3unIRArcPAJ9MV85dVlcJA50DPMr9j9zIilkCYgCgg2Wy xT9WjLeBx+Ued5VEie06sYE= =qSXS -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Kde-cafe mailing list - [email protected] http://ofb.biz/lists/listinfo.cgi/kde-cafe DISCLAIMER: The views expressed on this mailinglist are the personal opinions of the author and do not represent OfB.biz: Open for Business, KDE or the author's employer.
