but, see, you've made my point for me. i suspect that many people with 
whom i would otherwise disagree could make common cause with me in the 
conclusion that two plus two equals four. those people's reason for 
doing so, and their aspirations for the use of that conclusion, are an 
issue but a different issue. that without consulting the document i 
conclude that 3.8 percent of the gdp is not unreasonable for defense, 
or that going to space is a good thing, or that breathing air is 
something i prefer to not doing so (which i suspect they also think is 
true), i've at least raised the possibility that it's a conclusion that 
can be arrived at independently.

and in any case i do not subscribe to the notion of secretive tinfoil 
hat organizations other than, perhaps, the democratic national 
committee. and whoever it is who put up the money to send lyndon 
larouche around new hampshire this week.
