I dunno, I've tryed re-running the installer, and it starts to check to 
see if files need updating, so that tells me that it did something. I 
did notice my gcc is the wrong version, so I'm going to update that, 
then reboot, and pray that my system just wasn't reading the folder for 
what ever reason.

I've go  to hand it to you, not many people are this patient with a 
four-teen yearold. =)
