The dmg files contain pre-built binaries that will go in /usr/local/qt (for Qt) and /opt/kde (for everythign else). Just double-click the dmg and there should be an installer inside. You need to follow the wiki "build from source" directions with patches and such for anything that's not there as a dmg package already. -- Benjamin Reed a.k.a.
