Hi guys,
I'm a newcomer on this list and I wished to congratulate everybody for all
the great stuff. Thank you very much for your nice little christmas present
;-)
I'm not a developper at all but I like to play with my Mac OS X and so I
tried to compile the KDE app I use the most under X11, kile
(http://kile.sf.net/), a LaTeX frontend.
I succedeed except that I had to tweak something and I'm not sure I did it
very well.
When first compiling (with and Admin dir coming from a cvs configure as
explained in this list archives), there was a mistake, complaining about an
unfindable error.h (ahahahah) file. I found many on my drive but none from
KDE or qt so I picked one from my OS X and did this change :
kile 1.6/kile/kile/kilelyxserver.cpp :
line 20 : #include </usr/include/mach/error.h>
Instead of #include <error.h>
And then it compiled very well :)
Another problem I met is that I couldn't launch the generateapps.sh and had
to use the fix-osxbits.sh, but, well, it works.
Last question for this evening, how can we change the environments settings
that are used in these apps, because it doesn't use mine and I have some
special paths to my TeX installation. I cheated in kile configuration but,
well, I'd rather have something more general.
Thanks everybody for your work.
Regards,
