Similar problem here. In kwrite I can't write one of these:
[]|{}@
Thsese are "alt+"
56789L
on my keyboard.
Most other extra characters work, e.g. the Euro-sign and lots of greek
characters. Same problem in kile, which uses the kwrite control. But I ca=
n
insert hese characters using the clipboard. In kword everything works fin=
e.=20
Konsole behaves very strange, when I try to type any of these characters.
Sometimes it prints the correct character, but in most cases it just
ignores it. And sometimes the following test is printed out:
<screendump>
{.{DS_Store,Trashes,h{idden,otfiles.btree},vol},Applications{,\ \(Mac\ OS=
\
9\)},Benutzerhandbu\314\210cher\ und\ Informationen,De{sktop\
{D{B,F},Folder},veloper},Library,Network,System{,ordner},
T{heVolumeSettingsFolder,rash},Users,Volumes,automount,bin,cores,dev,
etc,mach{,.sym,_kernel},opt,private,s{bin,w},tmp,usr,var}
</screendump>
Looks like a very strange pointer problem. Perhaps with some multi byte
unicode characters. But I'm not sure.

Same configuration, but I use a german keyboard layout.
