Hello list,

The Kalyxo project is slowly growing... and needs to have its real name use=
d.=20
The kde-debian and kde-debian-devel lists were a kind of temporary solution=
,=20
and were named this way because of the original group code-name "kde-debian=
".

If we want to grow correctly, we have to change some things coming from the=
=20
project history. Hence, the name of this mailing list is not relevant=20
anymore.

Moreover, even if it's currently low traffic, we've seen that most of the=20
mails coming here should be sent to @debian.org lists. Let's face it the=20
kde-debian name is really confusing for a non trivial amount of users, and=
=20
it's really understandable.

That's why we've opened new mailing lists, and the current ones will be clo=
sed=20
in 12 weeks from now (around the 25th of December).

Of course we won't let the current subscribers alone and lost in the myriad=
s=20
of existing mailing lists. So here are my advices:

=2D------
1) If you are a user interested in KDE packages maintained inside Debian (i=
n=20
general kdelibs, kdebase, kdepim, kdenetwork...), you should subscribe to=20
this list: http://lists.debian.org/debian-kde/
You'll be at the right place and have a better support than from us, since=
=20
we're not the maintainers of those packages.

2) If you are a user interested in the Kalyxo project or using some of the=
=20
packages we make, you should subscribe to this list:=20
https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kalyxo
=46or our package list please look at these pages:
http://www.kalyxo.org/bin/view/Main/KalyxoPackages
http://www.kalyxo.org/debian/

Please note that we package the NX technology for Debian but we're _not_ th=
e=20
NX/FreeNX/kNX developers. If you need to reach the FreeNX and kNX developer=
s=20
you should subscribe to this list too:
https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/freenx-knx

3) If you are a Kalyxo developer (you have packaged something currently in =
our=20
staging archive or contributed code), you should subscribe to this list:
https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kalyxo-devel

If you want to become a Kalyxo developer by contributing more interesting K=
DE=20
related packages to our list or by working on our upcoming Debian flavor=20
(installer, security fixes, maintaining the website) the previous list appl=
y=20
to you and you should subscribe to help us.

Moreover you will find a list of tasks for the Kalyxo project here:
http://www.kalyxo.org/bin/view/Main/TaskList

Of course, for developers subscribing to this list is strongly encouraged t=
oo:=20
https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kalyxo
Our users will need support! ;-)
=2D------

I'll try to send regularly reminders of this planned closing. You can alrea=
dy=20
subscribe to the brand new kalyxo and kalyxo-devel lists. Of course, all th=
e=20
Kalyxo traffic will occur on the new lists now, but I'll try to forward the=
=20
important announces here.

If you have more questions feel free to ask, I'll be glad to answer you.

Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for your understanding.

Regards.
