Good to hear this! I look forward to have working kdebindings package in
Debian. Yay!

Even better. Now, this might have issues with existing pyqt packages in
debian? Also, i heard (unconfirmed) that pykde was being worked on by PyQt
maintainer... Are you in contact with him regarding this?

It is not exactly easily possible. There are number of reasons we might want
to upload to our repository. Just one thing that's next to impossible to do
right is to re-package stuff already in debian. We can't just hijack a
package. That's no good and going to produce a lot of ill will. Also, there
are no DD's i know of in kalyxo, getting a sponsor's not that easy (and
slightly cumbersome) and we can get packages into tycho archive quite a bit
faster. Also, we might want to do some testing and staging, with the added
convenience of a central and full-featured archive (instead of lots of small
personal repos here and there). Also, there was a talk of doing some
backporting and releasing the branch, but that's a pipe dream so far, IMO.

OTOH uploading straight to debian has lot of benefits as well, not questioning
that.

Same here. I don't expect gaining DD status in less than 3-4 months. Maybe not
even 6 or more. Hopefully before end of this year though :p.
