When you're advanced, it's time for debian anyway. ;-)
Let's work on improving debian so that newbies also get a good start.

I'd suggest you get aquainted with debian before switching your machines over. 
Try sarge with the debian-installer beta.

Web, bug and list searches for problems. For some good compiled information 
about debian in general maybe check out the "debian reference".
