I concur. Changes I've noticed:
 - The Kuickshow fullscreen bug has finally been fixed!
 - We have a new system tray volume control (although I haven't decided 
if I should like it yet).
 - The toolbars look slightly different (is it that we actually have 
separators now, and we didn't before?).
 - Lots of new sounds (not all of which I like, but most of which are 
pretty slick).
 - Alt-Tabbing has a really weird new list look (which is actually a lot 
more usable if you can get used to it).
 - The Control Centre has moved out of the Settings menu into the main 
body of the menu. Not sure I like that one.
 - For some reason, Mozilla Firefox is a darker grey than the rest of my 
windows. This seems to be irrespective of the theme chosen (but I use 
Qute). (I can't see that I've upgraded anything GTK- or 
Firefox-related; the only seemingly related change is kwin. Odd.)
 - Some subtle eyecandy tweaks here and there.
 - Lots more that I've missed.

I switched to Gaim when Kopete insisted that I was still online despite 
getting disconnected, happily letting me compose messages whilst 
wondering why nobody answered me for five minutes before realising I 
had to restart it. On days with flaky networks, this got really 
annoying. I haven't looked back.

I see [Defaults]     [Apply][Reset] in that order. [Okay][Cancel in the 
background advanced options dialogue (for example).
[Apply][Discard][Cancel] in the unsaved changes dialogue box. Not sure 
what the "proper" order is meant to be, but I tend to actually read the 
labels rather than click blindly. Anyway, it's a difference of 
preference, not a bug.

Yes, Arts works. I uninstalled Juk since it never worked for me, but I 
decided to give it another shot now, since you said it works. Seems a 
little better -- only 90% of Ogg Vorbis files are choppy now compared 
to 100% in the past, and it doesn't seem to crash Arts anymore when 
failing to play Ogg Vorbis files like it used to.

There are system sounds. If yours are broken, reconfigure through the 
Control Centre->Sound & Multimedia->System Notifications. Most of the 
sounds reside in the /usr/share/sounds directory.
