Help Getting Source Out of Git

Hi everyone,

Ok, please bare with me, but I'm fairly new to git so I'm having a bit
of newby issues with getting the required KDE sources out of git.

The problem is I'm following the directions on
techbase.kade.org
as best as I can but am having lots of issues actually grabbing the
KDE 4.8 sources out of git. For instance, the directions say I should
do
"git clone git://angit.kde.org/qt-kde.git"
in order to check the latest QT out of git for compiling. What happens
is I get an error like "Fatal: the remote hung up."

Since I'm fairly new to git I don't really know what I'm doing wrong
here or I'm missing something obvious. Any help here would be
appreciated.
