Tomorrow, I try to install redcore-linux and see how much help if any kmouth will be in the installation and how much help it will be post-install. If it all fails, I have a suggestion for kde regarding screen reader availability. Use alt-super-s as a screen reader startup shortcut and put a small application with audio that plays say three descending notes to let an installer know no screen reader is available yet for kde. If in future a real screen reader becomes available for upgrades have that small app connected to alt-super-s replaced by the screen reader app and as that package installs have it speak a short message telling the user or installer that a screen reader is now available and to use alt-super-s to start it running. The alt-super-s is already used in gnome and mate to start screen readers so is pretty widely standardized already. Unfortunately when I do these installs the most help I sometimes have is a be my eyes volunteer who can only tell me what came up on the screen once we get the screen turned on. So this is by no means a professionally run accessibility laboratory run effort just run by someone familiar with software testing who is now retired.
