            Bug ID: 523832
Summary: Primary canvas "normal" action(resize brush) too
                    sensitive at low values.
    Classification: Applications
           Product: krita
      Version First 5.3.3
       Reported In:
          Platform: Microsoft Windows
                OS: Microsoft Windows
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
Component: Shortcuts and Canvas Input Settings
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

DESCRIPTION
Changing brush size via the default shortcut feels rough when working at low
sizes, even after reducing the maximum size to 100px. It goes up and down by
the same increments at any size and pen lift jitter becomes more of an issue
the smaller your brush size is. I have a pretty good, decently sized "pro"
wacom tablet from 2017, and imagine this is much more of a problem for anyone
with budget hardware, like a smaller tablet, or a device that cant handle large
canvases well.

Having the sensitivity of the shortcut gradually go down when below 10-20px, or
another ratio based on the max value, would make it substantially easier to
select the desired brush size and has increasing tangible benefit the closer
you get to 0. That or set a lower minimum increment with a multiplier that goes
up to a max limit as brush size increases. A linear change of .01px at .5px and
.02px at 1px, .03 at 3px and so on, would likely work well enough but a
logarithmic curve might work best. It would require testing and would be
extremely cool to have a slider to configure the overall sensitivity or
intensity, of the effect. That might be best in General>tools?

Many brushes still work at .01px and it could benefit countless people to have
the option of working with size increments that small without typing, making
additional size shortcuts, or using a script.

Is there a legal issue keeping this from being implemented? Is it just a
problem with my setup?

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Adjust brush size to low value via "normal" action of primary canvas
setting.
2. Attempt to replicate the same size twice below .5px.
3. Find it tedious

OBSERVED RESULT
Brush size becomes impossible to set precisely the closer I get to zero

EXPECTED RESULT
Brush size adjusts slower as I approach zero

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
OS: Windows 11
Qt Version: 5

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Using a Wacom Intuos pro pth-660 with opentabletdriver
