The cause sounds plausible enough, since KWin wouldn't yet have checked for=
 a
GPU reset after suspend, and there's no OpenGL or Vulkan event for a reset
having happened.
There is a relatively new udev event, but I'm not sure if the Nvidia driver
uses it. Ultimately though, if your GPU drops video memory just because of
suspend, your setup is broken.
