A small addition to my previous comment (since I cannot edit it), it's seems
that it's possible to also search for the IP address of the TV with the tool
itself, like:
ytcast -s
And then see all the found devices with:
ytcast -l
https://github.com/MarcoLucidi01/ytcast#usage

And we can see also how it works, which I think it could be useful as an
example of an implementation, in case the tool itself cannot be integrated:

But this is just to send links to Youtube videos to the Youtube application
installed on the TV.

For other types of casting, I had success from Linux to a LG TV (WebOS) with
MiniDLNA and Kodi:
