oh that's interesting

could you try This

when opening a document open a invalid document

1. make a new document 
2. delete this new document inside your file system 
3. reopen krita and try opening the invalid document
4. wait for crash or not

i am trying to see what part of open document is stopping the crash

Also sorry for making you get the logs for the crash i just now realise that
that is an almost impossible task but as you have them could you send them in.
And could you name the one which didn't end up crashing something like NEARLY
CRASH
