Thank you very much for looking into this problem that annoyed me for so long,
as all the MKV files muxed by me with MKVToolnix have both cover types!
The full size ones, as I never care about the small ones.

I'm running Debian 14 with Plasma 6.7.2 and Frameworks 6.28, so it will take a
while until I can test the changes and see if the problem is really fixed.
I'll try to re-download and boot KDE Neon in the next days to see how is it
now.

But until then, if anyone is more advanced than me and wants to help, I
re-uploaded the previous test files, which include both covers to a service
that should keep them up now for 30 days (will expire on 10 Sept 2026):
