Bug ID: 524430
Summary: Mounted LUKS-encrypted disk can't be unmounted while
Dolphin is running
Classification: Applications
Product: dolphin
Version First git-master
Reported In:
Platform: KDE Linux
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have a LUKS-encrypted disk
2. Plug it in
3. In Plasma's Disks & Devices popup, click "Mount and Open"
4. Enter the password -> Dolphin opens to show the contents of the disk
5. Immediately click the Unmount button for the disk in either Plasma's Disks &
Devices popup, or Dolphin's sidebar
OBSERVED RESULT
An error message saying "One or more files on this device are open in
application "kioworker".
EXPECTED RESULT
The disk is unmounted.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Closing the Dolphin window releases kioworker's hold on the disk and allows it
to be unmounted from Plasma's Disks & Devices popup. Even navigating away from
the disk or closing its tab is not enough; I have to actually quit Dolphin
entirely.
This only appears to happen with my LUKS-encrypted disks; unencrypted flash
drives do not exhibit the problem as described.
