Re: So we can try to reproduce the crash, do you remember what you did in
Dolphin, exactly, right before the crash?

I didn't do anything specific in Dolphin at all, except using it heavily.
Compliments for Dolphin!
The zypper dup software update completed successfully in a Kde Konsole window.
I then rebooted the computer via the configured Kde Keyboard Shortcut to the
Kde Session Management "Show Logout Screen", and clicking on the "Restart" icon
in the Kde Logout Screen.

I can only note that there were about 34 Dolphin application instances open on
the desktop at the time. They were correctly grouped in the Kde Plasma
Icons-and-Text Task Manager in the single Dolphin application item in the
Plasma Panel.
There were also a number of other Kde application windows active and existing
on the Kde desktop.
The Kde desktop is configured to have 4 Kde Desktop Activities, with 5 Kde
Virtual Desktops (each).
The desktop is configured to reopen the last open application windows at login.

For me, as a user, it appears that this crash at reboot is similar to previous
crashes during a normal user logout sequence out of the Kde desktop, and the
non-availability of a gui session during shutdown on the computer?

The only other note I can make, at this time, is that after the latest Kde
software update yesterday on a separate laptop, unfortunately, the open Kde
applications there are not saved in the desktop over a reboot any more. That
may have something to do with the kactivitymanagerd there.
