Was there a change of late in the kde start utilities/locations?

A couple years ago, I installed cygwin-kde and it was really easy to start =
up. But now, I can't see how to start it up. I don't see startkde or star=
tkde.bat or any such utility. I'm installing from the standard Cygwin setu=
p utility, on Windows XP SP2. I even rebooted after a re-install of kde. =
