Package: kate Version: 2.0 (using KDE 3.0.2 ) Severity: normal Installed from: compiled sources Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (release) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.18 OS/Compiler notes: I wrote a text file and saved the connents. It was just plain, ordinary text in paragraph form (like a letter, book, etc. It's not code). When I reopened the file, blank lines had been inserted into my text. I removed them and saved. However, when I restarted KATE, they returned (in the same positions for the most part). These blank lines always appear where word wrap has cut a line into several lines like its supposed to. It never inserts line breaks into the middle of a line, lines are never cut appart. My End of line is set to UNIX. I have tried various things, but this keeps reoccuring. I don't know if it can be reproduced. My KATE configuration hasn't been tampered with either.
