Package: kate Version: kate2.0 (using KDE 3.0.2 ) Severity: normal Installed from: Mandrake RPMs Compiler: gcc2.96 OS: Linux OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified Where: Open/save dialog window in Kate, Kwrite. (It appears when you click File/Open...) Description: There is ComboBox in right up corner of this window. It is used for changing coding style (for instance: iso-8859-1, iso-8859-2,...,cp1250,...,pt154). Default encoding on my machine is iso8859-2, but the ComboBox doesn't want to remember this value. When I start Kwrite/Kate ComboBox displays "iso8859-2" - and it's ok, but when I open the window second time ComboBox displays "pt154" agrhhh... The same goes to File/Save dialog window. In this case situation is much worse: when you are in hurry and save your work while ComboBox displays "pt154", you lose all national characters in tekst file :(( (Submitted via bugs.kde.org) (Complete bug history is available at http://bugs.kde.org/db/47/47076.html)
