Slightly OT: embedding other KDE apps

I've been thinking of embedding kstars http://edu.kde.org/kstars/ on a 
PC104 board.  Could someone give me a few pointers on how to go about it?

flash space is not a big issue, so the question is, how extensive are 
the changes?  Or should I just compile kdelibs against Qt/e and hope for 
the best?
