On a sidenote about contributing.... I made a small tool to design poly 
objects by fiddling with the coefficients and getting a near-realtime 
preview. I am not entirely happy with it, but it works and supports all 
povray polys (up to 7th order). It is written using PyQt (a really great tool 
for prototyping apps). If anyone is interested in this, I will make it 
available.
