Thanks for the input Berhard. After I'd spcified the --with-smoke=kde, it had 
worked. Just to clarify however why I've got my Qt dir in that location, my 
KDE install at present is a konstruct build and has the install of Qt in that 
directory. I've done this since I've yet to install the PhoeNXU OS KDE 
packages since too much of the underside of my system is still MDK, which I 
dispise the MDK KDE customizations. Thanks for all the help, though I think 
that the autotools stuff in the tarball needs cleaned up if a missing option 
at configure will cause this.
