I tried the same thing with my opensuse 11.1 partition - didn't work I'm
afraid.

I went to the old Opensuse 11.1 repo, downloaded the kdewebdev3 rpm from
there, and installed that via Yast (probably could have done it via rpm but
Yast will try to fix any dependency problems. So I got it installed without
having to do any funky merging, and without having to subscribe to the whole
repository - I just have that one old rpm installed.

Now I have all plugins working except for Cervisia (which everyone tells me
to avoid like the plague anyway), and konsole. That last one is a bit of a
shame, but come to think of it, I really don't recall using konsole from
within Quanta anyway.

So I'm a relatively happy hacker at least for the moment. I have only ever
played with Kubuntu very briefly, but I would hope you could do something
similar.
