I had issues before where quanta did take a long time when editing files, but 
that was 2-3 seconds and the time it paused did not increase. Thus I asked. 
For me this is a new issue and different from the "normal" stalls that happen 
when editing files.

I'll try to run strace as suggested by somebody else. Is there any chance that 
quanta will get back to the "normal" slowliness soon?
