Re: encouragement

Hi James,

Your original post did prompt my encouragement e-mail .....
We work away on something, most often trying to do our best, and at 
times I'm sure we hit points when we need a bit of encouragement.  If an 
e-mail like yours comes through at a time like that it might make the 
day a bit gray.

Like Nico said, it seemed your e-mail came out of the blue and lacked 
information that would help Eric diagnose the problem.  But then maybe 
your trying to get your work done and were frustrated?  I don't know 
what your day was like either.

My thoughts were of the developers of open source software, and in this 
case Eric -- who knows what's happening in their lives on a particular 
day -- and too often the only material that makes it into comments and 
mailing lists are critical.

So, not being in a position to be able to send financial support, or 
help with development, I though I would at least let Eric and the other 
developers and contributors know there are folks who use their software 
with thanks.
