upgrade digikam

Hi

My OS is MX-kde. Until a few days ago I used the appimage of
Digikam and was using Digikam 8.0. I decided to install digikam on
my computer as a program. It installed version 4:7.9.0-1 from the
MX repo which opens digikam 7.9.0. How can I update to version 8?
