DigiKam Automatically Face Scanning

Hello

I'm new with DigiKam and I'm loving it.

I have this question on face recognition. When I go to the left tab to
"People" and start to put names on the "Unknown" people, the software
automatically starts the Face Scanning procedure. Since I have a lot of
pictures, that is a long process and it dynamically updates the "Unknown"
people list, which makes it hard to continue putting names until the
procedure ends.

Is there a way for Digikam to not launch that process automatically, and
that can I launch that process manually after I have completed (or get
tired) or putting the names on the pictures?

Or maybe the procedure to add names should be in a different way?
