Hi,

Yes, it's possible to apply data and GPS information to a selection of
images. Select items from the icon-view, open the Caption right
sidebar and set the date. There is also a plugin to adjust time in
tools menu, why a complete options to fix the date of items :

https://docs.digikam.org/en/post_processing/time_adjust.html

For the GPS info, use the right plugin for that:

https://docs.digikam.org/en/geolocation_editor.html

Don't forget to turn on the right metadata options to register date
and GPS to exif, else only the database will be patched (the default):

https://docs.digikam.org/en/setup_application/metadata_settings.html#behavior-settings

Best regards

Gilles Caulier
