order within a group when selecting multiple images?

While grouping a raw and jpg version of an image "by filename", the last 
one selected becomes the "representative", i.e. it will be used for the 
group thumbnail, and its album will hold the grouped representation.

However, if I select all jpg files in one sub-album, and then all raw 
files of another sub-album, and group by filename, this no longer seems 
to be true, and I cannot control whether the jpg or the raw is the 
representative.

Is there a way to remedy this?  I would prefer that the raw always be 
the representative.
