Issue post downloading DigiKam

Hello DigiKam support group

I downloaded DigiKam and pointed it to my directory where I kept photos in separate folders. I subsequntly noticed that the photos from 2 folders have disappeared. I am assuming DigiKam moved it somewhere but unable to locate. Any help will be appreciated.
