A collection is a place where digiKAm will scan the contents. No need to duplicate the files after all. Just go to digiKam setup/Collections and add a new entry pointing to the wanted directory to catalog. https://docs.digikam.org/en/setup_application/collections_settings.html#set= up-root-album-folders Best regards Gliles Caulier Le jeu. 9 juil. 2026 =C3=A0 15:50, Beno=C3=AEt Barbier <[email protected]= rg> a =C3=A9crit : > Hello > > What is the best way to import RAW files from a Lightroom catalog into a > DigiKam collection without copying them? > > > In DigiKam, I=E2=80=99m thinking of creating a =E2=80=9CcatLR=E2=80=9D co= llection, but how do I > tell DigiKam to import the files without copying them? > > Thanks > > > Beno=C3=AEt > --000000000000fc94ec06562e1129 Content-Type: text/html; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <div dir=3D"ltr"><div>Hi,</div><div><br></div><div>digiKam does not copy th= e files in a "collection" folder.</div><div><br></div><div>A coll= ection is a place where digiKAm will scan the contents.
